CALVARY KIDS ROCK
C.K.R.-Calvary Kids Rock, is one of the most exciting places in the church to be! Our aim is to get God’s eternal message into the hearts of kids in ways that are geared toward age-appropriate learning. Our goal is for your kids to have a fantastic church experience and leave each week wanting to come back again. A BIG emphasis is placed on safety in the classroom with screened volunteers and strict policies to ensure your kids are in good hands when you leave them with us.
C.K.R. MISSION
Our focus is to build our children’s character on the rock, Jesus Christ. The wise man build his house upon the rock, the foolish man built his house upon the sand. We want to build wise children. This is what our teachers work hard at, investing in our kids so they will have faith in Jesus to make unusually courageous choices for Him in the world they are growing up in. We partner with parents to train up our kids!
Our Programs
NURSERY (0-2y.o.)
Right from the beginning babies are learning about God’s great love for them through music, visuals, play and puppets. It is never too early to begin building a great spiritual foundation into our kid’s lives! We have a clean, safe environment with loving volunteers.
PRESCHOOL (3y.o. – 5y.o.)
Each week the children will learn a new Bible story from the ”Read with Me Bible”. Our Bible story time is geared for this age group with limited attention span but stays true to the Word. Socialization skills are grown through “free play” time. We have planned game time and a “hands on” craft relating to the Bible lesson. We emphasize a Bible verse and help the children repeat it out loud, all to enable them to memorize! We know this age can handle quite a bit; this age group learns the same lesson as their older siblings in grade school.
ELEMENTARY (Kinder-1st)(2nd-3rd)(4th-5th)
Each week we examine a different story in the bible, but it does not stop there. We read the story and discuss why the story is relevant today and how it can impact the children’s lives. This helps to grow and develop strong Christian character within our children. Our teachers challenge each child in fun and exciting ways to grow closer to our Creator. We use games to incorporate Bible verse memorization and make it fun. We also weave in activities that further incorporate the Bible story for the week. In a two year period your child will have journeyed through the Old Testament and the life of Jesus.
